ISA Transactions is in the big league!

The 2012 Impact Factors (ISI Web of Knowledge – Journal Citation Reports) were just released. According to the Impact Factors, ISA Transactions – our journal of the science and engineering of automatic control ranks on par with the historically top journals that focus on the applications balance of automation research and development.  These milestone publications include Control Engineering Practice, Journal of Process Control, and IET Control Theory and Applications

Expectedly, the journals focusing on research and theory have higher impact factors due to the faster regeneration of results. These include Automatica, and IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control.

Further, the 5-year rate of increase in the Impact Factor for ISA Transactions is the highest of all of the journals related to instrumentation, control, and automation.

This is exciting news related to our student section.

The Thompson Reuters Impact Factor is a measure of the relative frequency that articles in a journal are subsequently cited in any publications. It is also a solid indicator of quality and relevance of a journal, which is especially important to those in the research and publications community.  The editors of ISA Transactions are volunteers, and our tremendous congratulations go to Editor-in-Chief Ahmad Rad, editors, editorial board members, and many authors and reviewers. All of who have invested energy and creativity in developing ISA Transactions.

For further information regarding the items discussed above, ISA Members have access to journal articles by logging into the ISA site.

Consider supporting ISA Transactions and our OSU Automation Society endeavors with your manuscript submissions, especially those with applications emphasis.
